Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description:
Santa Maria Facility looking for an experienced Maintenance mechanic long term temp to hire position.
Responsible for providing maintenance to all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime.
Involves checking, setting up, and operating various types of production tools and equipment prior to approving for production use.
Responsible for maintaining an inventory of department Ordering of new parts and management of berry operations work orders.
Responsible for maintenance, prevention, and upkeep of all Strawberry Packaging case erectors and peripheral equipment by performing the following duties:SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.
DUTIES AND Responsibilities: o Ensure a safe workplace for all team members.
o Demonstrate the ability to set up, adjust settings and repair for optimum equipment performance.
Demonstrate the ability to execute maintenance repairs and operating procedures.
o Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot folding and gluing issues.
o Demonstrate the ability to plan and schedule maintenance work.
o Follow up work request and make possible the proper machine performance.
o Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run available capacity and speed at 90% or better.
o Willingly to work all necessary hours and shifts.
o Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
o Follows corporate Quality, Sanitation, GMP and HACCP standards to achieve a finished product within quality control specifications.
o Problem-solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully and develops alternative solutions.

o Minimum 2 years maintenance experience o High school diploma or GED.
o Ability to work independently and as a team o Experience in machine setup Knowledge of items listed below required.
Some Knowledge of Electrical (480, 220, 24 volts 3 and single phase) Air pneumatic Air valves and flow controls Conveys belts Chains and sprockets Bearings and shafts Drill and tap Photo eye and proximity sensors Limit switches Relays and timing relays Heaters Rtd sensors?

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
