130####### About This Position In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Visitor Desk Receptionist is the first representative of the facility that many patients and visitors will see upon entrance to the facility.
As such, the incumbent is responsible for receiving and welcoming guests to the Medical Center lobby and communicating and facilitating the visitor policy.
Duties include greeting visitors and appropriately distributing and collecting visitor badges for entrance to the facility and directing visitors/patients to appropriate services and/or visitor waiting areas.
This position will work in cooperation with Volunteers and Admitting staff.
The position is also responsible for a variety of other clerical assignments and duties as assigned.
Selection Criteria One year receptionist experience desirable.
Receptionist experience preferably in a health care setting.
Oral and written fluency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable.
Ability to cope with multiple distractions and interruptions at the same time.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to multiple publics.
Basic knowledge of computers and keyboarding.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
