Summary:
The ideal candidate for the Veterinary Assistant preferably will have at least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably within a small animal veterinary practice.
An RVT license is a plus! The position requires proficiency in obtaining basic medical history, taking vitals, drug dosage calculation, medical terminology and be able to provide exceptional patient care; Must be people and pet oriented, a team player, responsible, reliable, have a flexible schedule and have excellent oral and written communication skills; Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain a calm demeanor within stressful situations and offer amazing customer service to every client; The position can be full-time or part-time.
Working Hours:
Shifts will vary and can include nights, swings, weekends and holidays.
Compensation:
Wage will vary per hour DOE, plus a differential for swing and overnight shifts.
Full time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, continuing education and a health insurance stipend.
