Learn how to drive SMRT and Paratransit ADA vehicles in our top-flight training program.
We provide all the training necessary, even if you have no prior commercial driving experience.
At the end of the course, you will be specially licensed, specially trained, and specially equipped to provide a vital public service in the community.
Full-time, year-round employment! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Drives vehicles on fixed routes and schedules per the published timetables, as well as in general public and ADA paratransit demand response service.
Operates equipment (e.
g.
wheelchair lift/ramp, bus destination sign, two-way radio, farebox, GPS) in a safe, reliable, and proficient manner.
Completes pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT regulations and standard operating procedure, to include noting mechanical failures and maintenance needs on a Daily Vehicle Inspection Report.
Delivers professional, responsive, informative, dependable, and empathetic service to all members of the traveling public.
Provides assistance in boarding and alighting to all passengers, including the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
Collects passenger fares in an accurate and honest manner.
Maintains professional image and conduct at all times, including a proper, well-maintained uniform while on duty.
Follows public health guidance and company protocols to maintain a COVID-clean working environment.
