We are seeking a full time Office Assistant responsible for processing payroll in compliance with CA employment law, invoicing, recording payments, assisting in accounts payable and managing employee records.
We are looking for someone with great attention to detail, who is a good critical thinker and is independently driven.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Enter hourly timecards, audit electronic time tracking for piece rate crews in timely manner Review all the payroll data for accuracy with respect for cost centers, and CA employment laws for check processing and weekly deadlines Import and enter employees into the various systems Keep employee records up to date and accurate Generate and distribute production reports to Foreman, Supervisors, Managers, and updating with corrections as needed.
Invoice labor out on a weekly basis Record payments Assist with AP Answering phone calls and handling office foot traffic as needed Bilingual English-Spanish is a necessity Other RELATED responsibilities; should be incidental or periodic duties.
Participates as needed in special projects and may perform other duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
? Previous experience in payroll processing ? High School Diploma or equivalent ? Solid data entry skills ? Good working knowledge of relevant software ? Understanding of basic accounting principles ? Strong numerical skills ? Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements SKILLS ? Communication Skills:
verbal and written ? Working Knowledge of Agknowledge and ADS is preferred ? Proficient experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel ? Attention to Detail ? Planning and Organizing ? Stress Tolerance ? Information Collection and Analysis ? Confidentiality ? Customer Service Orientation ? Problem Solving ? Teamwork Physical Requirements ? Needs to be able to sit at a desk and/or working at a computer for prolonged periods ? Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times Pay is depending on experience, starting at $20.
